At the end of the school day, it’s so easy to fall into the “how was your day?” routine. That’s what I was usually asked when I was a kid, and I’m pretty sure my answer was always “fine” or “ok.” There might’ve been plenty of interesting things going on at school, but as a quiet child, if I wasn’t specifically asked, I didn’t share – simple as that! But whether your kids are naturally chatty or on the quiet side, asking specific questions always helps to get conversation flowing. With that in mind, I made a set of after school questions exclusively for HowDoesShe subscribers that will help get your kids talking (and are really fun, too)!
This is a really easy printable – you simply print the questions out, cut them into strips, and put them in a jar. Every day after school, you can choose a new question to ask. If you drive your kids to and from school, you could keep the question jar in your car. Or, keep it in the kitchen and chat during snack time.
These questions are really specific so that you can hear about the details of your kids’ day – things that you might not normally think to ask about, and things that they might not think to share.
